Cite a podcast episode in Harvard
Podcast episodes need both the host and the episode title in Harvard, plus the show name in the container slot. Harvard (Cite Them Right 12) treats them as audio works, which means italics on the show, quotes on the episode, and a URL to the episode page rather than the show feed.
Harvard rules for a podcast episode
- Host name is the author; if a producer is credited, add their role in brackets.
- Episode title is in quotes; the show name is italicized as the container.
- Include the episode number after the title if the show numbers its episodes.
- Specify the medium as [Audio podcast episode] in square brackets.
- Use the URL to the episode page, not the show's homepage or RSS feed.
- Add '[Podcast]' in square brackets after the episode title.
