New tools, citation styles, guides, and improvements, listed newest first.

  1. A faster workspace and a built-in search palette

    • Added a Cmd+K search palette so you can jump to any tool, guide, or citation style without leaving the keyboard.
    • Opened a developer toolkit with a regex tester, slug generator, JSON formatter, URL and Base64 encoders, and a palindrome checker.
    • Launched the Phrasit blog and a /compare hub for people weighing up alternatives.
    • Added a cookie consent banner and product docs so the workspace is easy to trust and easy to learn.

  2. Citation cheat sheets and a study resources hub

    • Published free PDF cheat sheets for APA, MLA, Chicago, and IEEE.
    • Opened a resources hub that gathers every cheat sheet in one place.
    • Expanded the citation generator with more source types, including software, podcasts, datasets, and social posts, across all four styles.
    • Added long-form how-to-cite guides and a bibliography converter for Zotero, Mendeley, and JabRef users.

  3. More counters, guides, and a refreshed home page

    • Added platform character counters with the right limit for each network, each paired with a short guide on what fits and why.
    • Built word counter use case pages for the Common App essay, IELTS Task 2, dissertation chapters, and other common targets.
    • Shipped a brand icon set, a PWA manifest, and section-specific share cards for tools, study, and writing.
    • Redesigned the home page around the live tool registry.

  4. Phrasit launches

    • Opened Phrasit with the flagship word counter, character counter, case converter, text comparator, lorem ipsum generator, and find and replace.
    • Launched the citation generator with APA, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard support, plus CrossRef and Open Library lookups for DOIs and ISBNs.
    • Added study tools, including the reading level analyzer, essay outliner, and flashcard maker.
    • Published the first writing guides and set up the legal pages, sitemap, and robots.txt.
