Cite an interview in Chicago (author-date)
Interviews split into two citation problems: published interviews that readers can retrieve, and personal interviews that only you experienced. In Chicago (author-date) (17th ed.), a published interview can use the periodical, date, interviewer, and URL like an article. A personal interview may belong only in the text or notes, so label the interview type before formatting.
Chicago (author-date) rules for an interview

- Label the type of interview, such as published interview or personal interview.
